This is a template that guides companies on the stages and steps in developing the local content plan which is required by law for every company to submit to the Agency.
Section 40 of the Sierra Leone Local Content Agency Act 2016, mandated all companies/operators in every sector covered by the Act to submit a Sierra Leonean Content Plan to the Agency before they start operations.
The Sierra Leonean Content Plan describes how an operator or a company intends to implement the requirements of the Local Content Agency Act of 2016 and the performance targets the operator/company will report against over time in terms of employment, procurement opportunities and capacity development. The plan is the operators documented commitment to provide first consideration to Sierra Leonean citizens, service providers located in Sierra Leone and goods manufactured in Sierra Leone.
